First-Year Housing Information

All first-year UD housing provides:

  • High-speed Internet / Cable TV / Phone connections in each room
  • Lounges with cooking equipment
  • Exercise equipment
  • Chapel
  • Study rooms
  • On site copy machines, vending/snack machines and laundry facilities
  • All rooms are air-conditioned
  • Professional live-in staff
  • Student Resident Assistant on each floor

The University of Dayton has a strong commitment to creating living/learning communities within residential facilities. First-year students are housed in traditional residence halls, which provide an ideal environment for building new relationships. Each first-year residence hall creates its own unique community:

Transfer Student Housing: First-year transfer students with fewer than two semesters of transfer credit are required to live in University residence halls. Transfer students with two to four semesters of transfer credit are required to live in University housing. Beyond five semesters of transfer credit, students are not required to live in University housing.
