The number of incoming first year students has created a need for some
students to be housed in overflow beds. First year overflow beds consist
of:
Am I charged less when assigned to a triple, quad or 6-person room?
Yes, the overflow triple charge is $2,565, the overflow quad charge is
$1,675 and the overflow 6 person charge is $1,675. A full list of housing
rates can be found at
http://housing.udayton.edu/common/pricing_2011_2012.htm
Can I move out of my overflow room?
The goal is to move as many students out of overflow housing as spaces open
up. Students in overflow housing are given priority to make a room change.
Students are encouraged to email housing@notes.udayton.edu with their
request.
If one of my roommates moves out of our overflow room does my housing
charge change?
If the capacity of an overflow room is reduced, due to the loss of a
roommate, the remaining students housing charge will be adjusted to reflect
the reduced occupancy rate. This rate will be prorated based on the date
the move takes place.
If one of my roommates moves out of our overflow triple room, can the extra
furniture be removed?
Once a move is completed, and confirmed by housing, the remaining students
can notify the Marycrest front desk to schedule a time for staff to remove
the third bed, desk, desk chair and drawer unit from the room.
If one of my roommates moves out of our quad or 6-person room, can the
extra furniture be removed?
The furniture in the quads and 6-person rooms must remain in these rooms.
How will students be notified if spaces become available?
Students in overflow housing are encouraged to email
housing@notes.udayton.edu with their room change request. Students are
also emailed early in the semester, asking them if they would like to be
offered a room change if one becomes available. Students are then
contacted as spaces become available.
Can I stay on my assigned LLC floor?
Students in overflow LLC rooms, are offered spaces in the same LLC if
available.
If I make a room change request, can I change my mind?
Yes, if a room change offer is made, students have the option to accept or
decline the offer.
