Special-Interest House Retention and Lottery Processes

If a student qualifies for a special-interest lottery, demerits will affect the student’s lottery priority number just like in the general student housing lottery.

In the special-interest house retention process or a special-interest housing lottery, if a student has earned 500 demerits as a result of policy violations, the student is unable to participate within the special-interest house retention or lottery process. If a student earns less than 500 demerits but has some earned demerits, then the student will be evaluated on whether he/she can participate within the special-interest house retention and/or any special-interest housing lotteries.

Please follow this link for Demerit Values.
